Nachum Katsernov created this special series of seven mezuzah cases with a separate case for each of the seven species by which the Land of Israel is blessed: Wheat, Barley, Grapes, Figs, Pomegranates, Olives, Dates. The 24 karat gold plating is applied by hand over the varicolored plastic center with the end result that each mezuzah case is a unique combination of colors and shading. These mezuzot are suitable for mounting either with screws or with double-sided adhesive tape.
To learn more about the factors you should keep in mind as you choose your mezuzah case read our article The Three Purposes of Your Mezuzah Cover. To be sure you're putting your mezuzah up correctly read Where and How to Mount Your Mezuzah. You can print out for yourself the instruction sheets you'll find there in English, Hebrew and Russian.
Note that the height listed for all HaSOFER mezuzah cases is the size of the mezuzah parchment appropriate for that mezuzah case. The overall height of the mezuzah case itself is slightly more than the measurement listed.
If your mezuzah will be exposed to direct sunlight, dampness or extremes in temperature, choose one of our many decorative mezuzah cases which are also weather resistant. You'll find these on our separate page of weather resistant mezuzah cases.
If you have questions about mezuzah parchments or mezuzah cases, whether or not a particular doorway requires a mezuzah, or for more information about where and how to mount your mezuzot email us at mezuzot@HaSOFER.com.
